Gucci Mane Jailed For Attacking Fan; Judge Denies Bond
Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was arrested last night and charged with aggravated assault for hitting a man head with a champagne bottle at a downtown Atlanta club on March 16. According to James Lettley, who's a member of the military, he asked a security guard in the VIP section of Harlem Nights on Courtland Street in Atlanta, if he could get a photo with the rapper. He say Gucci Mane, who's real name is Radric Davis, flew into a rage and struck him in the head with the bottle. James was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he received 10 stitches. At his arraignment this morning, the rapper was denied bond by a judge. He will remain in jail at least until his next court date on April 10. Two days prior to the Atlanta incident, a man in Philadelphia claimed the 33-year-old rapper punched him in the jaw he said he tried to shake hands and say hello and the rapper after a show. No charges were filed. Gucci has a serious anger management problem. Since 2006, he has been arrested 10 times mostly on assault charges. Back in 2011, he severed six months in jail after pleading guilty to pushing a woman out of his moving vehicle after he rebuffed his advances. His mother must be so proud.
