Man Punched Singer Leona Lewis in The Face!
British singing superstar Leona Lewis was rushed to hospital today after a man punched her in the face at a book signing in London.
According to reports, Leona, 24, had been meeting members of the public at Waterstone's book store in Piccadilly in central London where she was signing copies of her new autobiography "Dreams," for about 90 minutes when a man from the line came up and punched her.
The singer was stunned after the random attack and she was seen clutching her face. Her five bouncers jumped on the the attacker until police arrived.
An onlooker at the signing said: "Everyone had been queuing up for ages and suddenly there was a bit of a scuffle and a man jumped over a barrier and punched Leona on the face. I heard Leona cry out in pain and she was quickly led off by her security as more security guards and fans restrained the man until police arrived. She had sunglasses on and even though she had her face in her hands you could see she was clearly crying and her face was swollen. The worst thing is that the man was grinning, he thought it was funny."
Leona suffered some bruising to the face and was treated at a local hospital.
London's Metropolitan police said a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and is being held in custody.
Here's a photo of Leona leaving the scene after the incident.
