Ne-Yo, who has been writing songs for his idol Michael Jackson's next album, is feeling a bit optimistic - well, he ought to since he is the one writing the songs.
"I've been submitting songs and he's been picking the ones he likes. But I've no idea when the album will come out. That's a question for Michael," he says. "This is such a huge record for him so he can be as picky as he likes. It's either going to be the greatest comeback ever or a really sad attempt at recapturing old glories. And we don't want it to be the latter."
Ne-Yo hung up on Michael the first time he called - he thought someone was pulling a prank. And he was starstruck the first time they met - well, wouldn't you be too, it's friggin' Michael Jackson!
But while he's got Michael future is hands, he says he wants to now work with Lady GaGa, the pop star burning up the charts all around the world.
