Patrick Swayze Has Stopped Cancer Treatment, Doctors Can Do No More

The end could be near for actor Patrick Swayze, 56.

Reports are he's stopped all medical treatment for his pancreatic cancer, which he has been battling for almost a year. He checked himself into a hospital with pneumonia on Jan. 9 and was released a week later.

Now, according to a friend, the actor has given in to fate and his destiny.

There’s nothing more doctors can do for him. We are down to the wire and the goal now is to keep Patrick comfortable. His condition is inoperable and they have stopped the chemo. He’s still losing weight and he’s very weak. Patrick regards himself as a cowboy, and is determined to die with his boots on and no regrets."
