Billy Bob's Daughter is a Baby Killer

We all know actor and singer(?) Billy Bob Thornton used to be a killer with the ladies, now word is his daughter might be a - gasp! - baby killer!

Amanda Brumfield, the daughter of musician Billy Bob Thornton, has been charged with child neglect after a one-year-old girl died while in her care. The 29-year-old was babysitting the child in Ocoee, Florida, in October, 2008, when the tragedy happened. Brumfield allegedly waited two and a half hours before calling an ambulance after the baby fell and hit her head. The child suffered a fractured skull and died. Brumfield who is reportedly estranged from her famous father, was being held in police custody.

Her mother, Melissa Gatlin, is going on the defense - as she should - telling TMZ Amanda felt there was "no reason" to get help because the baby showed "no signs of distress".

She alleges Amanda fell asleep with the baby - and it was only later, when she awoke to find the baby's still body, that she noticed something was terribly wrong.

"When you have a situation that does not indicate distress... there are no signs of distress, then there is no reason to immediately call police," Gatlin said.

Police have ruled the tragic death a homicide after autopsy results showed the baby died from a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.
