Hip-Hop is Dead. For Real.


Vibe magazine's sudden closure last month (and subsequent class action lawsuit) has shone a 100-watt spotlight on the dearth of hip-hop magazines.

Where have they gone? In short: To the grave yard.

Complex magazine has created the death file of sorts. Perusing its utterly thorough list of 48 dead hip-hop magazines from around the world, you get to relive the good ole days of amazing (and not entertaining) publications like Roots, One World, Rap Pages... and of course, Vibe.
