Woman Tries Do-it-Yourself Plastic Surgery. Guess How That Turned Out?

With the recession in full-swing, people are doing what they can to cut back on spending and seeking out the best bargains. But do-it-your-self plastic surgery? Well, that's just stupid.

Mary, who once spent $1,000 for silicone injections placed into her face to camouflage a scar she got after a crash, saw - what she thought was - the same silicone advertised online for a mere $10.

"I actually felt pretty proud of myself," she told Good Morning America. "I thought this is a cheap way to go, it looks good."

But the day after injecting her face and lips with the discount silicone, things went horribly wrong.

"By the following day it was just completely inflamed my whole face and the area that you can see in the cheek was very raised and very infected," she said. "It expands, it's like rubber and your own collagen is forming scar tissue around it just looked like horrible blisters."

Wanna know what was in the those $10 bottles?

Personal lubricant!

LOL.

This goes without saying: if it's too good to be true, it often is and whatever you do, please don't perform medical or cosmestic surgery procedures at home.
