Columbia University Professor Punched Female Colleague in the Face!

Two topics that always seem to get people riled up: Race and religion.

Sometimes those discussions lead to fight fights, too.

Lionel McIntyre, a 59-year-old Columbia University architecture professor has been charged with assault and harassment after he punched Camille Davis, a theater production manager at Columbia's arts college, in the eye.

The two were at a bar last Friday night near the university campus where they were engaged in a heated debate on race, like they often did. But something went wrong and Lionel allegedly pushed Camille, who's white, then when a patron and a bar employee tried to break it up, the professor slugged Camille in the face.

"The punch was so loud, the kitchen workers in the back heard it over all the noise," a bar back told the NY Post. "I was on my way over when he punched Camille and she fell on top of me."

Lionel calls the beatdown "a very unfortunate event."

Ya think?
