Sammy Sosa Admits He IS Bleaching His Skin!
Former baseball player Sammy Sosa doesn't understand all the fuss about his new almost-white skin is coming from.
He just doesn't get it.
In an interview with Univision, the Spanish-language network, he reiterates what his friend had already said.
"A little surprised by the tsunami of attention," he says. "I use a cream to keep my skin smooth and soft. I apply it before I go to bed. When I was playing for Chicago all those years, I was in the sun a lot for 1 o'clock games. The flashes (from the cameras) also made my skin look lighter. I'm surprised with the controversy this has caused."
But in part two of the interview, ESPN reports that Sammy admits he is, in fact, using skin bleach.
"It's a bleaching cream that I apply before going to bed and whitens my skin some," Sammy said. "It's a cream that I have, that I use to soften [my skin], but has bleached me some. I'm not a racist, I live my life happily....What happened was that I had been using the cream for a long time and that, combined with the bright TV lights, made my face look whiter than it really is. I don't think I look like Michael Jackson. I'm going to market it, I'm a businessman."
When asked what this skin bleaching night cream is called, Sammy refused to give the name. He does say he got it in Europe and he's in negotiations to become the face of the cream. Get it, the face... LOL.
And as for the new colored contacts: He says he wears them to "try something different. I'm not trying to be superficial."
One time for Sammy: "Dem a bleach / dem a bleach out dem skin / dem a bleach fi look like a brownin'"
