Man With Five Appliances in Bathtub, Tries To Commit Suicide

Last Saturday police were called to a Buffalo, NY home where a man was trying to commit suicide.

According to the Buffalo News, when police arrived they found 25-year-old Julious Jones sitting naked in a bathtub holding five plugged-in electrical appliances — a clock radio, two electric clippers, a curling iron and a clothes iron. The bathroom floor was covered with water.

One police officer tried to reason with Julious, telling him, "You don't need to do this. I can help you."

But Julious, who told his landlord days before he wanted to take his own life and admitted to drinking antifreeze, responded by saying, "There's no need to. I want to die."

Then, as cops turned off the electricity and tried to unplug the appliances, he dropped the appliances into the water.

No one was hurt.

He was charged with a felony charge of reckless endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of harassment and taken to a hospital.
