Going through the news everyday, we sometimes come upon a story that leaves us speechless and shaking our heads. This is one of them.
Monique Garcia Cotto of Albuquerque, NM was arrested after she brought her 18-month-old child with (plastic) handcuffs fastened to his leg. Seriously. Monique, 19, went to the jail to visit the child's father (it was Mother's Day, after all) but when cops stopped her, she had this unbelievable tale: She said she left the boy with a friend on but when she returned she found his legs in handcuffs and a pillow over his face almost dead. She didn't bother to call police, however. Two days later she showed up at the jail with her son, whose foot was turning purple due to lack of circulation.
