After 10 months of investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Gang Unit, Bergenfield Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff's Department and the Bergen County Police Department, authorities executed a search warrant on Jan. 20 at James' Bergenfield recording studio where they discovered two fully loaded 9 mm handguns, an unspecified number of boxes of ammunition, 17 small clear plastic bags containing suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to Molinelli. Authorities said James is the founder of the rap group "The Diplomats" and is also a suspected member of the Bloods street gang and found of "Skull Gang," a subset of "The Diplomats."
