Rapper Lil' Webbie Arrested on Drug Charges

Lil’ Webbie aka Webbie aka Webster Gradney, Jr, 25, was arrested in Tennessee on Monday and charged with possession of schedule VI with intent to manufacture, sale or deliver and tampering with evidence.

The car Webbie was a passenger in was stopped going southbound on Interstate 65 on Monday. They were initially pulled over for speeding in a rented 2010 Nissan Altima. As the vehicle pulled over, the arresting sergeant saw what was believed to be marijuana thrown out of the window. Webbie was caught with over $13,000 in cash and 2 ounces of marijuana. A loaded .357 revolver from passenger 22-year old Michael Abbott of Baton Rouge was also recovered. He also had $916 in his possession. Webbie was en route to Baton Rouge after a performance in Louisville, Ky., on Sunday. Upon further investigation, it was also discovered that the driver Derric Watson, 34, of Zachary, La., was operating on a suspended driver license. All four passengers in the car were arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail. His bond was set at $21,000.
