David Knelsen of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, locked his 21-year-old son, Johan, inside a 10ft-by-6ft filing cabinet-style box for eight weeks before police arrived and freed him. David told authorities Johan was mentally ill and needed punishing for stealing three chickens and, oh, yes, talking on the phone.
