Is You're Dilapidated Home Unlivable Because You Couldn't Afford Its Upkeep? The Federal Government Will Build You a New One

For 60 years, Gerald Brooks and his wife lived in a home in Powderly, Kentucky. But because they couldn't afford to or bothered to take care of the home, it's now inhabitable. The government is taking care of that problem. Through a grant to the state, it's building the Brookses a new home. Oh, the new home comes fully furnished. How do we get on that list?

Sidebar: While this news report didn't give any information on the government program that's giving away homes, we believe the grant was awarded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and was devised to help prevent or stop declining home values in the areas where these dilapidated homes.
