While on maternity leave, Kate Bolduan was permanently replaced on
New Day because she lacked chemistry with fellow co-hosts of the CNN morning show. On January 26 she returned to the air and was
promoted demoted to co-anchor of the 11am hour of CNN Newsroom with John Berman. Tuesday morning Kate looked liked she's overit.com. Whilst interviewing political commentators Donna Brazile and Ana Navarro about Republican presidential hopefuls inserting themselves into the debate on whether children should be vaccinated for measles (the science is clear: children should be vaccinated) things began to unravel: Kate gets awfully quiet, shuffles scripts, crosses her arms, spends an exorbitant amount of time examining her nails, picks what we believe is a hangnail, and gives an epic eye roll -- all of this while the camera is on her. We don't know what happened, but it appears both the Democratic and Republican commentators agreed (a rarity) and weren't answering Kate's questions to her satisfaction. Then Ana dropped some unintended(?) shade:
You don't have to opine on every issue and on every question that is posed to you. Kate Bolduan is so over it.
Uh? Who?
