Former Pittsburgh Mayoral Candidate Jailed (Again) For Prank Calling 911



Former Pittsburgh mayoral candidate and community activist Abdula "AJ" Richardson who, along with his wife, Felecia, are awaiting trial for making more than 100 calls to 911 last year, was arrested Thursday for making more bogus 911 calls on April 2. AJ told reporters he's "being set up" because he stands "for the righteousness of God to make a difference for all people." District attorney's spokesman Mike Manko, however, says the new charges "involve what we and the Allegheny County police allege to be continued abuse of the 911 emergency phone system." The 38-year-old has several previous arrests, including a charge of DUI when he was found passed out behind the wheel of his minivan and resisting arrest after he barged into a neighbor's home and threatened the homeowner.
