Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks Have Come to Jesus Moment, End Feud on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'
It's a resolution some fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta thought they would never see, but on last night's episode, Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks had their "talk," made up and prayed together. As the other characters (sans Linnethia Leakes, who was in New York preparing to be "on Broadway") attend a pajama party in the presidential suite of the Makati Shangri-La Manila in the Philippines, Kenya twirled to Phaedra's suite next-door to hash out their differences. Since Kenya has been trying to have this sit-down with Phaedra for two seasons now, she allowed her to go first. Phaedra said when the two first met, they were working on a friendship, but she was hurt "when all the crazy stuff started happening." (By "crazy stuff," we presume she's talking about Phaedra's stunt queen of a husband Apollo alleging that Kenya propositioned for sex while in Los Angeles. Kenya has always maintained it never happened, but Phaedra wasn't buying it and believed Apollo.) Because she was hurt, Phaedra says she was intent on hurting Kenya and did so by calling her a sl*t and wh*re very chance she could, but now, since she's put it behind her and is ready to move on, she will no longer refer to Kenya as a wh*re, but as Satan. Kenya said the "lies" Phaedra repeated were damaging to her career and reputation and wanted Phaedra to know what she's been saying from the outset about Apollo is the truth. "I want to believe it, but at the end of the day, as a wife I had to roll with my husband," Phaedra confessed. "We don't go together no more, so I don't know what to believe any more. You gotta understand, that I can't change that....It's not about you, it's about everything. So you gotta understand where I'm sitting because it's a different place from where you're sitting." Phaedra says everything that transpired between them is in the "rearview mirror" and she's ready to move forward. Kenya agreed. Phaedra invited Kenya to church on Sunday, but Kenya asked if they could pray right then. Which they did. They hugged. They cried. They spilled their guts out. Since these two are no longer "fighting," we bet the show's producers and writers have already developed a new storyline and drama for the next season. Because, what's a reality show if there's no manufactured drama? Oh, there's always the character played by Linnethia Leakes.
Here's the video of Kenya and Phaedra's chat and reconciliation.
Sidebar: We don't know if this is foreshadowing or not, but those flashbacks of Linnethia's character while she was in the confessional make it appear like Bravo might be killing off that character. That can't happen, right?
