11-year-old Boy Stabs Mother, Jumps Out of Third-Story Window

An 11-year-old boy and his mother are in serious condition at a hospital in El Paso, Texas after the boy stabbed his mother then jumped or fell out of a window and fell 20-30 feet.

An El Paso County woman was reportedly stabbed by her young son Friday night and both are in serious condition at different hospitals. The 11-year-old boy appears to have jumped or fallen from the third story of the townhome, and he and his mother are both in serious condition at separate hospitals in Colorado Springs, according to El Paso County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jackie Kirby. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Burning Bush Point, near Monument, Kirby said. She did know whether their injuries were life-threatening, but said the mother was stabbed several times. The investigation was in its early stages and it was unknown whether the boy would be arrested.
