Was Obama's Inauguration Suit Bullet-Proof?

We all know security was tight for the inauguration of Barack Obama. But guess you didn't know how tight.

According to security insiders: "Obama will wear bullet-resistant clothing, speak behind a protective glass shield and ride in the parade in the armored Cadillac limousine, with doors and windows so thick that he probably would survive a bomb blast."

By bullet-resistant, we are not talking about a bullet-proof vest, but fabric that's then covered with a plastic film; it's stronger than steel, but flexible. Several companies manufacture such types of fabric, which can withstand a round-nose bullet traveling at up to 448 meters per second.

Of course the Secret Service is not commenting on whether or not Obama's clothing was bullet-resistant.
