Leonardo DiCaprio's Attacker Arrested
A woman accused of slashing Leonardo DiCaprio at a Hollywood party in 2005 has been arrested in Canada.
Aretha Wilson is being held by Canadian officials for extradition to the U.S, according a police source.
She is alleged to have attacked Leonardo after approaching him at a party thrown by producer Rick Salomon in June 2005.
Leonardo, who told police he recognized Aretha as a friend's ex-girlfriend, walked away from the 39-year-old, who then allegedly hit him in the neck and head with a glass.
Leonardo needed 17 stitches - 10 to his ear and seven to his neck.
An arrest warrant was issued for Aretha a month later, on one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
She avoided detection for years, but came to police attention in 2008 when she was found guilty of assaulting her ex-boyfriend Wyatt Cote and was given a suspended sentence and two years probation.
Aretha was arrested on Monday.
