NYC's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, which gives away more than 40 million condoms a year, is inviting the public to submit concepts for a “special, limited-edition” New York City condom wrapper that will be unveiled in the fall.
Entries are due by Jan. 22. The design contest is open to any New York City resident 17 and older. Finalists will be selected by a panel in February and an online vote will be held thereafter for the winner.
The artwork must be original, and it cannot include images that are copyrighted, trademarked or sexually explicit. Design proposals can be submitted online (at nyc.gov/condoms) or, in print, to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, Attention: Director of Condoms and Materials Distribution, 40 Worth Street, CN-A/2, Room 1602, New York, N.Y. 10013.
