DMX was arrested in Arizona this afternoon, according to the folks over at TMZ.
The details of the arrest are not clear, but DMX has been arrested in the past on drug charges and is reportedly undergoing addiction treatment.
His lawyer is calling on Dr Drew to cast the former rapper in the next season of Celebrity Rehab. Late 2008, he was supposedly in rehab, but was in Miami with a new jumpoff.
Update: A spokesperson from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office told KTVK News DMX was arrested after allegedly violating his probation. The rapper was arrested by the Adult Probation Department on Tuesday (mug shot above) and faces five charges of probation violation. Reports say DMX was brought in because he was abusing drugs while on 18-month supervised probation.
Update 2: The drugs he was abusing "on a regular basis" included COCAINE!
