Jerome Morgan has been in a contemptuous battle with the city of Detroit over something we can't take the moment to care about. (OK, he runs a marina for 20 years and invested $20 million into in and because he has been withholding rent, the mayor's office wanted to take the operation from under him and award it to someone they liked.) Anywho, after a judge sided with Jerome, the mayor's office retaliated by demanding he produce his birth certificate to prove he's black. (In Detroit, business owners can receive preferred status as a minority owned company.)
