Russel B. Baughcum, 42, of Suwanee, Georgia is facing battery charges after he struck a 4-year-old boy "in a back handed fashion" who tried to play with his cat in the waiting room of a veterinary clinic. Russel told police the inquisitive child repeatedly reached for the animal, which had just had surgery. The man said he told the child to stop, but the boy grabbed hold of the cage and tried to pull it off a chair. And that's when he got slappy, hitting the boy on his lower back and buttocks.
