Meanwhile, in Florida, $26,000 Stolen From Man's Shoe

A gentleman in Florida is probably kicking himself in the head with his Timberlands after he lost his life savings.
When a burglar stole $26,000 in cash from a Boynton Beach home on Monday, it wasn’t stashed under the mattress or in a locked safe, police say. Instead, the money was taken from a shoe. Boynton Beach Police say sometime between 5:40 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. someone entered the home on the 2600 block of NE 4th Street, just west of N Federal Highway. The man told police that when he came home it looked like someone pried his door open and then ransacked his bedroom. He said the other rooms were untouched. According to a police report, the cash was stolen from inside a blue Timberland boot in the bedroom. Police are still investigating the incident.
