Barber Publicly Shames Misbehaving Kids With 'Old Man' Haircut

Russell Frederick, 34, who owns A-1 Kutz in Snellville, Georgia, is gaining national attention for giving young boys an embarrassing haircut known as the “George Jefferson,” “Benjamin Button,” and the “Old Man” haircut. The cut -- which is free of charge -- involves shaving hair off the child’s crown until he begins to resemble a balding senior citizen. It's the hope the embarrassing haircut will humiliate the unruly child and encourage him to get on the straight and narrow. As a father of three, Russell said he decided to advertise the cut after he used the unique disciplinary measure on his 12-year-old son, Rushawn, last fall — and saw immediate results. After giving him the old-man haircut, Rushawn's grades "skyrocketed," Russell says.
