Illinois Governor Arrested on Charges of Trying to Sell Obama's Vacant Senate Seat to Highest Bidder

These sort of things never get old.

Corrupt politicians - gotta love'em.

Well, happening now, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, after a month of FBI surveillance, was arrested on charges of trying to sell president-elect Obama's vacant senate seat to anyone willing to give him and his wife jobs. Plus, he allegedly threathened to withhold financial assistance to the failing Tribune Company unless they fired editors he doesn't like.

Blagojevich replaced former governor George Ryan, who is in jail following a federal corruption conviction.
