Sale of Shoe Thrown at Bush on the Rise

Pres Bush may do something to help the economy, after all.

Remember that famous shoe-throwing incident in Iraq?

The manufacturer of the shoe - Ramazan Baydan, owner of the Baydan Shoe Company based in Istanbul, Turkey (pictured) - has had a surge in orders.

Since that incident, the company says it had more than 300,000 orders and interest from US companies wanting distribution rights.

Baydan also wants to rename the shoe "The Bush Shoes".

It takes a certain type to find those shoes remotely attractive; We don't expect to see them on Madison Ave. or anyone's feet we know.

Just saying.
