Sheree Comes to Her Senses, Drops Appeal Seeking More Alimony
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star Sheree Whitfield dropped the ridiculous appeal she filed in the Georgia Supreme Court, seeking more monies from her ex-husband, former Atlanta Falcon Bob Whitfield, Monday.
Bob's lawyers say he's broke, so Sheree, like a good gold-digger, dropped the suit because that money well is, well, dried up.
This whole episode stems from a 2007 judgment in which Sheree was awarded custody of the couple’s two children. The judge ordered Bob to pay $2,142 a month in child support, give his ex-wife $775,000 in cash and turn over shares of four NFL retirement accounts.
Bob was awarded the family’s $2.4 million, 5,900-square-foot home in Sandy Springs (which is about to be foreclosed upon and sold) and four other properties, including his “world-class” recording studio.
Bob Whitfield has paid $425,000 of the court-ordered $775,000 to his ex-wife. But he has not paid any child support since the final divorce judgment was signed in October 2007, according to Sheree's lawyer.
