Illinois Bar Bans Gays

A Peoria, Illinois karaoke bar called The Elbo posted this sign in its window last week.

As you can see, it says the place is a karaoke bar, not a gay bar. Really? Is there a difference?

Suffice it to say, the gays protested and the bar's owner, Greg Quast, was forced to apologize. As he should!

The city has also threatened legal action against Quast. It's state law that you can't discriminate against one's sexual orientation.

PS: Prior to becoming The Elbo Room, the bar was indeed a gay bar. It was called the Quench Room, according to long-time residents.

But that still doesn't give Quast the right to be a douche.
