A Russian singer claims to be the mystery woman blamed for ending actor Mel Gibson's marriage.
Oksana Pochepa, 24, admitted today that she has fallen for the 53-year-old actor and hopes their love is "strong and long-lasting."
"We are different people, but Mel is a grown man and knows precisely what he wants and me too - I know what I want," she told The Sun.
She says she visited Mel last summer in Boston where the actor was shooting a film. She also reveals that said she was the woman shot on the beach with Gibson earlier this year -- the same photos that sparked a storm of speculation about Gibson's 28-year marriage.
The singer, who is also a model, claimed to have visited Mel on the set of a movie in Boston last summer. But she added the two were not yet ready to go public with details of their love. She said: “I would not like to say more right now.”
"This is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting."
On Monday, just weeks after the photos featuring Gibson and allegedly Pochepa were published, his wife Robyn filed for divorce.
The singer and model said her romance with Gibson began last summer after the two met on the set of a movie in Boston.
The stunning blonde came forward after Russian classical pianist Oksana Kolesnikova - who some believed was the other woman - denied she was dating the Hollywood hunk.
"Sorry to hear about Mel Gibson's divorce," an agent for Oksana. "Somehow, Oksana is being linked to Mr. Gibson, but there are no emotional ties between the two."
