Baseball Player Settles AIDS Lawsuit Filed By Jumpoff
Former New York Mets baseball player Roberto Alomar has quietly settled a lawsuit by an ex-girlfriend accusing him of having unprotected sex while he was secretly suffering from AIDS.
Robertor made the shocking allegations by Ilya Dall, who filed a $15 million lawsuit against him in February, go away mighty quickly by resolving the case yesterday under a confidentiality agreement.
A letter filed in Brooklyn federal court shows Ilya, 31, agreed to drop the suit "voluntarily," but the records say nothing about any money changing hands.
As part of the settlement, she agreed not to file any future lawsuit against Roberto.
Ilya lived with the former All-Star for three years and claims Roberto, 41, tested positive for HIV in February 2006.
Roberto has denied he has AIDS.
