Lance Armstrong, Sheryl Crow Split Because She Wanted Kids
Cyclist Lance Armstrong is speaking frankly in his new autobiography, Lance, and tells why he and singer Sheryl Crow split three months after their engagement.
Simply put: Her biological clock was ticking LOUDLY, she wanted babies and he didn't. Not that there was much sex going on anyway because he said during the racing season (which is pretty much all the time), he doesn't have sex.
"She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn't want that, but I didn't want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I'd just had kids," he says. "Yet we're up against her biological clock -- that pressure is what cracked it....Because if somebody wants a child -- man, that's the greatest gift you can give to a woman -- so who are you to stand there and say I don't want one. So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue."
Lance has three children from his first marriage and is expecting a fourth this June with girlfriend Anna Hansen. In 1996, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer which had spread to his brain, lungs and abdomen. His first three three children were conceived using sperm he donated to a sperm bank prior to chemotherapy and surgery. The baby with Anna was conceived naturally, you know via the in-and-out.
Sheryl wasn't waiting around for no man, in 2007 she adopted a baby boy, Wyatt Steven Crow.
