Balloon Boy is Alive, May Be a Hoax

The news stopped this afternoon, as TV stations around the world switched to wall-to-wall coverage of a homemade helium balloon floating precariously through the sky. It was thought to have a 6-year-old boy on board.

The balloon drifted 50 miles into the sky, sparking a frantic rescue operation that involved military helicopters and briefly halted some departures from Denver International Airport.

Then, more than two hours after the balloon gently touched down in a field with no sign of the boy, Sheriff Jim Alderden turned to reporters during a news conference, gave a thumbs up and said 6-year-old Falcon Heene was "at the house."

Moments later, Falcon's parents who are storm chasers who appeared twice in the ABC reality show "Wife Swap," twice, were smiling for the TV cameras like nothing happened. Plus, they have a rap song to promote.

This has led many to believe the entire ordeal was a publicity stunt. Now, the family will need an agent to field all the requests for interviews.

Here's the family's rap song called Not Pussified.

it's somewhat hard to believe that so many people believed that a small child was inside of this air-tight balloon, right up to the end
