David Hasselhoff's 'Ear Infection' Now an International Problem

It was a just a few weeks ago David Hasselhoff was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital suffering from alcohol poisoning. His publicist, however, said David was rushed to the hospital due to an adverse reaction to two pills he is taking.

We wonder what excuse that very well-paid publicist will come up with to explain David's recent two-day stint at a fancy London hospital.

According to the Sun newspaper, David was in London to celebrate Simon Cowell's birthday, but he took the opportunity to do some celebrating, too. Sources say David was on a two-day binge drinking spree. He was so pissy drunk, he ruined two hotel mattresses after using them as a toilet. Things eventually became so bad, he was forcibly dragged to a hospital to dry out.

"David is very hard to handle when he drin ks, often very emotional and aggressive," a friend said. "On this occasion he became so drunk he wet his hotel bed - ruining two mattresses - and was becoming a real pain for staff. His assistant Joe Townley was so concerned he called out a doctor. David was furious and lashed out at him - but mistakenly hit the doctor. They decided they had no option but to lock him in the basement until an ambulance arrived."

Do you think David was just doing a tour of London hospitals to see how their health care system differs from the United States'?

That could totally be the case.

You hear that David's publicist?

Or maybe he was at the hospital to pick up some "young studs" (ie, men) - cause we hear, David is legendary.

David, if you would come out of the closet, perhaps then you could address your demons that drive you to drink.
