A Kansas City man has been accused of attacking his roommate, a 42-year-old woman with a machete after an argument over crack cocaine.
Prosecutors charged Eugenio Planche with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with the 2:10 a.m. attack this morning in the 5800 block of Woodland Avenue.
According to the Kansas City Star, Eugenio gave the woman $20 to buy a rock of crack then complained about the size of the rock she delivered. He then grabbed a machete from his bedroom and swung it at the victim while other roommates tried to break up the fight.
When cops arrived, the woman was bleeding from the head and suffered cuts to both hands. Plus, she suffered broken bones and severed tendons in her left hand.
She was stitched and is expected to survive, but it will be weeks before she will be able to use her hands.
