Alex Stewart, an Australian lawyer and atheist, posted a video of himself smoking pages torn from the Koran and the Bible last weekend -- days after Terry Jones, a nutjob Christian preacher who presides over a small church in Florida, drew international condemnation after announcing a plan to burn 200 copies of the Koran on Sept. 11.
In a 12-minute clip entitled "Bible or Koran – which burns best?", Alex, who works for the Queensland University of Technology, holds up the two religious texts before ripping them apart and lighting the rolled up pages. In the end, he says the Bible is more "conducive to good burning" and gave it a 7 out of 10; he gave the Koran a 3.
