TI, Tiny Arrested on Drug Charges

TI and his wife Tameka Cottle (bka "Tiny") were were arrested shortly after 10pm Wednesday night in West Hollywood after cops smelled marijuana and pulled the couple over. After a search, both were arrested for possession of methamphetamines and Ecstasy. So, that's how he keeps his boyish figure -- weed, Sizzurp, meth and E pills. Heeeeeeyyyyyy!!!!!! At about 4am this morning, both were released after posting $10,000 bond each. (Update: There are reports now that say cops only found Ecstasy in the car, nothing else. They also haven't been officially charged with a crime. Update 2: According to his probation officer, during the arrest, TI had codeine, marijuana, tested positive for opiates -- in addition to the Ecstasy.) But wait, there's more! Also in the car was Cortez “C-Rod” Thomas, a known felon, who has convictions for marijuana marijuana possession, cruelty to children, and property damage. And last February he was arrested (and plead guilty) on gun and Ecstasy possession charges. Oowee! (Read TI's probation officer's report, which was filed with the court, below.)

The arrest could spell significant legal trouble for the 29-year-old rapper, who was released from prison five months ago after serving seven months in prison on federal weapons charges for possessing unregistered machine guns and silencers. After his release, he served three months in a halfway house and he's currently on three years probation. Per the terms of his probation, he was ordered not to commit another federal, state or local crime while on supervised release, and also ordered not to illegally possess a controlled substance. He was also told to take at least three drug tests after his release and to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program. So, what does this mean? TI's probation officer can recommend that the terms of the rapper's probation be changed, such as to require that he take more drug counseling classes and undergo more frequent drug tests. Or he could ask the judge to revoke the rapper's probation, which was set to end in 2013. That could lead to a prison sentence.

Very donkey-ish.

TI and Tiny were married on July 31 and have two sons together. They will be back in court tomorrow.

Update 3: Tiny was charged with possession of a controlled substance (read: Ecstasy) and faces up to one year in prison.
