'TV Wendy' Told to Tone Down 'The Wendy' Even More

When the new season of Wendy's talk show premiers Monday, there will be a new, muted set -- but that's not it. According to the Post, our beloved Wendy has been forced to deviate further and further away from the Wendy we knew AND LOVED on the radio for YEARS in the hopes that it will boast ratings.
Executives at "The Wendy Williams Show" want the vivacious daytime talk show host to be a little less "Wendy" for the upcoming season. To appeal to middle-America moms, executives dumped producer Rob Dauber and even told the hair-and-makeup team to tone down Williams' look, a source said. A show rep denies there will be changes starting Monday. Dauber said through his rep: "I look forward to watching it . . . while I move on to start new shows with new personalities."
We want "radio Wendy" back. We miss her.

Update: Wendy says the report that producers are asking her to lose herself is false.
