After Harvey Westmoreland and his brother got into a fight with two men over the price of a lawnmower last May in Lawrenceburg, Ky., he says the men cut off his beard then forced him to eat it, then threatened to kill him if he called police. "One thing led to another, and before I knew it, there were knives and guns and everything just went haywire," Harvey tells WLEX-TV. "They cut my beard and forced me to eat it." Both men plead guilty and are expected to be sentenced on Tuesday.
Update, Nov. 16: Troy Holt was sentenced to five years probation and James Hill was sentenced to four years probation. Both men pleaded guilty to terroristic threatening, assault and unlawful imprisonment charges. As a condition of their probation, both men must have no contact with Harvey, cannot possess firearms and must remain drug and alcohol free. They can also be required to attend substance abuse counseling if deemed necessary.
