Lady Fleeing Cops is Run Over by Her Own Car

We really shouldn't laugh, but...
A Moses Lake woman was in critical condition this morning after accidentally running over herself with a vehicle while fleeing from police. Jona R. Zeigler, 40, suffered internal injuries, police said. She is being treated at Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, according to a spokeswoman. The incident began about 12:30 p.m. Monday when a Moses Lake police officer contacted Zeigler, who was inside a vehicle in the 1700 block of West Broadway Avenue. Zeigler was wanted on a felony warrant charging forgery, said Capt. Dave Ruffin in a news release. Zeigler fled the scene in the vehicle, Ruffin stated, with the officer in pursuit. While traveling on Lakeside Drive, Zeigler attempted to leave her vehicle was run over by her vehicle.
Hee-haw! Other reports said she was fixing to run away from police, but tripped. Once she's released from the hospital, however, Jona will be arrested and charged with forgery and felony eluding.

PS: That's the scene of the crime in the above photo.
