Serene Branson of CBS2 in Los Angeles delivered this mumbled, garbled report live from the Grammys. It was rumored that she suffered a stroke, but since the station says "Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning" we can have a good laugh at her expense.

Phoenix police released this video of a train slamming into a man who wasn't paying attention. Police said the light rail operator saw the pedestrian and hit the emergency brakes and was decelerating when the man was struck just north of the crosswalk and concluded that the man failed to obey the traffic light and was inattentive to the approaching light rail vehicle that had the right of way, causing the collision. He was OK.

Yesterday, the New York Times published this piece about the Academy Awards failure to recognize black actors since 2002. The article neglected to mention that Whoopi Goldberg is an Oscar-winner, too, so on The View this morning let them have it! But, as it turns out Whoopi won the Oscar in 1990, before the time period the article was referencing and the Times doesn't plan to issue a correction.
