Police Make Arrests in Shooting Death of DJ Megatron

A day after the funeral of radio and television personality DJ Megatron, who was shot to death last month near his home on Staten Island, NY, police announced the arrest of William Williams, 21, (pictured, below) and Richard Cromwell, 20, both of Staten Island, who were charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Sources tell NBC New York that police received a Crimestoppers tip leading to the arrest of Williams, who then made a statement confessing to the murder and robbery. Cromwell made statements on video to the Staten Island district attorney confessing to the murder, police sources said. A witness was able to identify Cromwell as one of the men in the group who shot DJ Megatron, the sources add. Both suspects have been arrested before, police sources said. Cromwell has prior arrests for reckless endangerment and grand larceny. Williams has been previously arrested on charges of robbery and rape, sources said. It was not immediately clear whether the suspects had lawyers.

Update: The folks over at the Staten Island Advance posted this video of William on his way to court, where he and Richard pled not guilty.
