NJ Town Outlaws Texting While Walking

Police in Fort Lee, NJ are cracking down on "distracted walkers" -- people who're texting while walking -- and are issuing violators with an $85 ticket. The police chief says they're targeting people "not crossing in the crosswalks and at intersection and crossing against the light." Yes, someone needs to knock some common sense into those people. Since January, 23 pedestrians have been struck. Three were killed. Cops have stopped 575 jaywalkers since the beginning of the year and issued 117 tickets since mid-March. How about issuing fines to to people who fall into fountains while texting?
