IRS Scammer Caught on Tape Detailing How, Why He Goes After 'Foolish Americans'

With tax season in full swing, scammers are lining up to rob you blind. So, when an Indianapolis TV reporter received one of those suspicious calls, she questioned the man on the other end of the line and recorded their conversation for our information. The 18-year-old scammer, who claimed he (along with hundreds others as young as 11 years old) is being held in "jail" in a country he wouldn't name and forced to call "foolish Americans." At the end of the call he thanked the reporter for scolding him.

It's an interesting listen.

Sidebar: The IRS and other government agencies do not call or email you; they send you a letter through the post office.
