Man Travels Across Country to Meet Woman He's Been Dating Online for 2 Years for First Time, Then She Cracked His Skull

After meeting each other online sometime in 2013, 26-year-old Samuel Campbell and 24-year-old Haley Fox began dating. Last Wednesday, Samuel made the 2500-mile journey from Adger, Alabama, where he lived, to Turner, Oregon to meet Haley for the first time in person and to move in with her. According to police, as soon as Samuel arrived at the home, Haley led him to a table outside of the residence where he sat down to drink wine. She told him to close his eyes and the bitch grabbed a baseball bat and struck him in the head with it. She later told investigators she struck Samuel with the bat because she didn't want to be his girlfriend anymore. She also stated that she played softball from fourth to 11th grade and knew how to hold a bat, striking Samuel while holding the bat with a two-handed grip. Samuel suffered cuts to the head that required staples and a fractured skull. Haley was arrested and charged with assault.
