Lady Claiming to Be 'Special Police' Punches Real Cop While Getting Arrested

Jo-Ann McMiller, 60, of Raleigh, North Carolina was arrested today following an incident earlier year when she pretended to be a police officer and punched an officer while being taken into custody. According to WRAL, Jo-Ann is accused of pretending to be “special police” in front of two Raleigh police officers on Feb. 6. “When asked for identifying credentials, McMiller stated that she left her credentials at home,” according to an arrest warrant. When the officers then tried to arrest her, Jo-Ann refused to be handcuffed and struck one of the officers in the face during the scuffle. She was eventually apprehended. More than three months after the incident, cops (without explanation) charged Jo-Ann today with assault on a government official, impersonating law enforcement and resisting a public officer. She remains jailed on a $3,500 bond.
