Promoters of the Shrine at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods were offering dethroned Miss California Carrie Prejean $15,000 to appear between midnight and 2am, but she turned turned down the offer because, um, it goes against her religion?
In the e-mail declining the club's invite, obtained by the NY Post, Carrie's mother, Francine, wrote: "We are not completely certain that we want her in a nightclub setting at the hours specified in the contract. As you can understand, this is in direct conflict with who she is. Her reputation as a Christian is more important than any public appearance attention or monetary compensation."
