2-year-old Girl Shoots Grandfather

A 54-year-old Alabama man is recovering after being accidentally shot by his 2-year-old granddaughter this afternoon.

The AP reports, the unnamed man, was driving with his 5-year-old grandson in the front seat and the girl in a car seat in the back seat along with a loaded gun.

The toddler somehow discharged the gun and the bullet went through the front seat into the man's back and exited his body.

Coincidentally, an ambulance was traveling behind the injured grandfather and he pulled over and flagged them down. He was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital but his condition and the name of the hospital was not known.
